Fidia Academy 2026: an international scientific platform in modern wound management

On April 10–12, Fidia (Italy) hosted one of the key scientific and strategic events of 2026 — Fidia Academy, a high-level international educational project dedicated to modern approaches to wound management.

In Ukraine, Fidia is known as a global expert in developing solutions for complex wound care based on the TIME concept, implemented in the HYA4 product line.

Fidia Academy is part of the company’s global educational initiative aimed at advancing professional expertise and promoting the exchange of clinical experience among specialists worldwide. The platform brings together physicians, researchers, and experts from different countries to implement modern scientific approaches into clinical practice.

The event was held as an integrated scientific and practical platform, bringing together leading international experts and practicing clinicians. The Academy’s program was systematically designed and covered the full spectrum of topics — from fundamental mechanisms of wound healing to the implementation of innovative technologies in clinical practice.

The event format included:

  • scientific plenary sessions
  • interactive workshops
  • clinical discussions and round tables
  • professional exchange of experience with international experts

This approach created an effective environment for in-depth learning, professional discussion, and the exchange of clinical practices.

With the support of EUROLEK, doctors from leading clinics in Ukraine, who are actively involved in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds in their daily practice, participated in Fidia Academy. This ensured a high level of professional discussion and enabled the integration of international experience into national clinical practice.

The participation of Ukrainian specialists became an important component of the international professional dialogue. Their practical experience in managing complex patients, particularly under conditions of increased clinical workload, attracted the interest of the international expert community and facilitated an active exchange of treatment approaches

According to the scientific program, key topics included modern approaches to wound management, covering fundamental aspects of healing, infection risk management, wound bed preparation, and the application of innovative technologies in regenerative medicine.

Special attention within the Academy was given to:

  • molecular mechanisms of hyaluronic acid action and its role in tissue regeneration
  • integration of scientific approaches into clinical treatment algorithms
  • modern concepts of wound bed preparation and management of complex wounds
  • innovative solutions, particularly regenerative medicine technologies aimed at improving treatment outcomes

A separate focus of the event was the concept of a systematic approach to wound management, which involves controlling all stages of the wound healing process and using advanced bioactive solutions to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

For our team, participation in Fidia Academy was not only an educational event but also an important opportunity to significantly deepen expertise in modern wound management. The program enabled a systematic reassessment of patient management approaches and highlighted the importance of stepwise treatment and the role of bioactive components in regeneration processes.

Ukrainian participants noted the high level of scientific content, the practical value of the presented approaches, and their potential for effective implementation in daily clinical practice. Following the event, Ukrainian doctors also emphasized the possibility of adapting the acquired knowledge to local working conditions, taking into account the specifics of patient management in Ukraine.

Participation of Ukrainian doctors in such international initiatives contributes to the integration of the national medical community into the global scientific space and the gradual improvement of healthcare standards.
