Saccharomyces boulardii belongs to the class of probiotics, whose primary function is to combat pathogenic microorganisms in the intestines. These microorganisms offer several advantages that make products containing them particularly beneficial:

• S. boulardii does not colonize the intestine (it is not detected in the stool 2–5 days after discontinuation);

• It does not cross the intestinal barrier;

• It has an optimal growth temperature of 37°C, which is higher than that of many other microorganisms;

• It demonstrates high viability;

• It has genetically determined antibiotic resistance;

• It does not suppress the growth of obligate intestinal microflora.

The mechanisms of action of S. boulardii include:

• Production of antimicrobial substances;

• Interaction with the host’s microbiota;

• Inactivation of bacterial toxins and inhibition of toxin binding to intestinal receptors;

• Antisecretory effect;

• Stimulation of the host’s immune system;

• Suppression of the cytokine cascade involved in intestinal inflammation;

• Trophic effects on the intestinal mucosa.

Infants from 2 months of age and children up to 3 years: 5 drops per day.

Shake the suspension well before use and administer immediately afterward.

Entero Kids can be given directly into the mouth or mixed with semi-solid food (e.g., yogurt) or with water or milk at a temperature not exceeding 37°C.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the product’s components or in children under 2 months of age.

Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging or if the packaging is damaged.
